If you are using the Google Chrome browser, by right-clicking and selecting "Translate to English", articles from foreign publications will automatically appear in English. You can translate the entire page or just a selected text portion.
Since Google no longer supports releases prior to Android 14.0 operating system, unfortunately it is not possible to develop a securely functioning application for version 13.0 or earlier. The Laptapir application has incorporated numerous functions and plugins that would no longer work in earlier Android versions. Thank you for your understanding!

Starting from the 2020/11 issue, with every CHIP issue - if you open it for reading in a web browser - you will find a unique code in the upper left corner, with which you can download the DVD content at dvd.chiponline.hu and also request an ESET code. IMPORTANT! The code is valid for a maximum of 3 months retroactively; for earlier issues it can no longer be used.
In the Android and iOS apps, you can download magazines for offline reading. You can download up to 10 issues at a time, and delete them later from your download list to make room for new ones. Offline reading is not available in the web browser.

To use it, look for the green button at the bottom of the issue page. If you are using Google Chrome, simply right-click and select “Translate to English” (or any other language) to automatically translate foreign articles. Automatic translation works only in the Chrome browser, on both desktop and mobile devices.
With a single subscription, you can use the service on up to five devices at the same time. To share it with family members, simply provide them with the same login details (email address and password).
Since Laptapir does not store card details, it is not possible to change them. After your current subscription period expires, the status in the Subscription menu will become inactive. You can then click the “Activate Subscription Renewal” button to subscribe again using your new bank card.
You can do this by clicking the “Pause Subscription” button in the Subscription menu. Since all subscription management is handled directly by the user, we are unable to process pause requests via email or phone.
You can also choose bank transfer or one-time card payment in the Subscription menu by clicking the "Buy multi-month subscription" button.
After selecting and purchasing your gift card, we will send you a code to the email address you used during registration, which you can then forward to the recipient. If the recipient does not yet have a Laptapir account, they should register first, then go to the Subscription menu, enter the code in the "Activate gift card or multi-month subscription" field, and click the Activate button.

There can be many reasons why a card payment fails. In the case of card-related or account-related errors, you will need to take action yourself. For connection or technical issues, it is recommended to try the payment again. After a failed payment, the Laptapir system will send you an email notification. If the payment issue cannot be resolved, once your subscription period has expired you can log in and click the “Activate Subscription” button to subscribe again using your new bank card.
Recurring payment allows a service’s regular fee (for example, subscriptions or ongoing service charges) to be automatically charged to the customer’s card at the merchant’s request. With the cardholder’s prior consent, the bank securely stores the card details during the first payment, and on subsequent occasions the merchant can charge the card by referencing this authorization. The laptapir.hu website and its operator do not possess, store, or have access to your card details, account number, or expiration date in any form.
For recurring card payments, a receipt is generated automatically, which you can view in your web browser by logging into your account and opening the subscription menu. There you will find a button called View my invoices. If you would like to request an invoice, you can do so before making the payment (or later, in which case a receipt will be issued for the first payment after the request) by logging into your profile in the web browser, checking the Invoice request box in the subscription menu, and entering your billing details.
Apple adds its commission to the monthly fee. We recommend subscribing on the laptapir.hu website instead. You can then use the app with your registered email address and password just as if you had subscribed directly within the app.
At least 2 business days in advance, please notify us of your cancellation intention at info@laptapir.hu. Following this, we will delete your account, which will also terminate the recurring payment. You will be able to register again later.
